Pay on Finnish construction sites is set by generally binding collective agreements (TES). Each agreement has pay groups with an hourly rate per group, plus supplements for evening and night work and for Finnish vocational qualifications. Your group depends on the work you carry out independently, your relevant training and your experience — not on nationality or language (Non-discrimination Act 1325/2014, section 8).
The calculator uses the current agreement pay tables (electrical: valid from 1 August 2026; building services: from 1 June 2026), the 2026 employee contributions (pension 7.30 %, unemployment insurance 0.89 % — Vero, ETK, Työllisyysrahasto) and the tax percentage you enter. The result compares two adjacent pay groups and shows an estimated monthly range — preliminary until we have checked your documents. Sources and dates are listed on every page.
Daily allowance, accommodation and travel are shown separately: they depend on whether your assignment qualifies as a business trip or a temporary special place of work (Vero 2026: tax-free maximum 54 €/day).
